OUR WORKSHOPS

LATEST WORKSHOP

“Your brand is what people say about you when you’re not in the room”

 Jeff Bezos founder of Amazon

Marketing ourselves and developing our own brand is becoming more and more important. No longer is it enough just to network or have a trademark style of dressing. The internet and social media is giving us a voice we never had before and has become a perfect place for us to promote our brand.

Come and join us at NABS on Wednesday the 21st of July at 3.30 – 5.00 for our first workshop on ‘Building Brand You’. In an interactive and fun atmosphere find out what your key differentiators are, how you add value, what your personality is and how you can begin to express ‘Your Brand’.

If this sounds like something you would be interested in please email Iwona@nabs.org.uk by Monday 19th of July to book a space, as places are limited. This workshop is free, but we would appreciate a donation amount dependent on what you thought the workshop was worth.

Below are details of just a few of the workshops we run - watch this space for dates or drop us a line.

We do not charge for our workshops, but a donation towards NABS is very much appreciated.

How to Network

Networking is one of the most important skills when you are looking for a new job but, just like most people, does the very thought of it leave you cold?  Learn how to create friendships, build rapport and feel confident with this essential skill.

Selling Yourself

Whatever your discipline or however many years' experience you have, you have to be able to sell yourself to be successful!  In this 2 hour session, we'll talk about how to develop your personal brand so that you offer strong "reasons to buy" - providing both rational and emotional justification.

Interview Skills

Using the principles of good presentation practice, we'll show you how you can apply the key skills to present your case and make a memorable and impactful impression at your interview.

How to be a Freelancer

Top tips for building that freelance career.

Create Your Own Job Market

Learn how to look innovatively and creatively at developing job opportunities.

NLP

When we communicate, only 7% of that message is conveyed through our words.  This workshop will give you the confidence to build a faster rapport and influence more effectively.  It will teach you how to portray a positive message through non-verbal signals, using NLP (neuro-linguistic programming) techniques.
