WACL Future Leaders Fund

NABS is once again working in association with WACL to manage the 2010 Future Leaders’ Fund, a training bursary offered to women within the communications industry with a view to achieving WACL’s long-term aim of getting more women to the top ranks of their organisations.

Established in 2004, the fund will cover half of the training costs, with successful applicants either funding the remainder themselves or being supported by their companies.  Since its inception the fund has supported 28 young women from every sector of the industry in courses including a range of MBA and MSc courses, IPA 7, NLP Practitioner and screenwriting.

Applicants will be asked to complete an application form and also answer one of two essay questions.  Shortlisted candidates will be invited to meet with the judging panel in mid July for an informal interview to discuss their applications and future aspirations

The award is open to all women who are currently working in or have been employed for the majority of their careers in the communications industry and who are committed to further developing their careers within it.

Each year the fund awards £15,000 in bursaries and looks to award to 4 women.

Full criteria and testimonials from previous winners can be downloaded below, along with this year’s application form.
