WACL Future Leaders Fund
The WACL Future Leaders Fund, in association with NABS, will be running once again in 2008.
Please note that the deadline for applications is Monday 7th July 2008.
Every year NABS works closely with WACL (Women in Advertising and Communications London) towards making an award of up to £5,000 to women within the communications industry, to be used as a contribution towards training that will enable them to achieve their potential as future industry leaders.
The Future Leaders Fund aims to contribute up to 50% of total course costs to up to 3 women each year – although in previous years the standard of entries has been so high that up to 7 separate awards have been made in one year.
Previous winners reflect a real diversity in roles, seniority, employment status and courses chosen – if you would like to apply but your area of interest is not yet represented, you are encouraged to think laterally in order to enhance your career.
It may be appropriate to apply for more than one course or to be partially funded by an employer or other sponsor. You will need to be prepared to make your case for how your chosen training will help you to maximise your potential as the best communications practitioner that you can be.
In order to be eligible for an award from the WACL Future Leaders Fund you must
- Be a woman
- Be currently employed or have been employed for the majority of your career in the communications industry as defined by WACL*
- Be committed to developing your career within this industry.
- Be able to demonstrate potential as a future leader
- Be able to fund the remaining 50% of course costs from other sources.
- Have your application endorsed by your current employer (past employer if you are freelance or not currently employed).
- We invite applications from employees in creative agencies (ATL, integrated and DM), media agencies and media owners, new media agencies and the marketing community. Employees in PR agencies are not currently eligible.
