October is NABS Month
October sees companies throughout the communications industry staging their own events to build awareness of NABS and to raise some money at the same time. The Rep who manages to raise the most money wins a table for 10 at the following year’s Big Bash, the flagship event in the NABS calendar.
NABS Month is an opportunity for you to get creative. Absolutely anything goes. The ideas from our Reps in 2008 included cake sales, quiz nights and even a “skydive auction”.
The “winners” are calculated on a per capita basis and, having finished a close second in 2007, the winning company in 2008 was Leo Burnett. Led by NABS Rep Tim Harvey, the team managed to raise a fantastic £2,700 through a quiz and auction night. In 2009, Leo Burnett increased this to a spectacular £4k but were narrowly beaten by the team at ISBA, led by Rep Louise Meehan.
If you don't have a Rep in your company, you can still get involved.
