Running for NABS

Ten people from across the communications industry – including three NABS staff members – took to the streets of London on Sunday 6th July, taking part in the British 10k London run with sponsorship money going to NABS.  Despite the poor weather conditions slowing people down a little, the NABS runners still managed to achieve some fast completion times.

The NABS team – Ian Edwards from Events, the Support Team’s Lorraine Jennings and Careers Advisor Andy Knell – and NABS Rep of the Year, Marie Williams from Kinetic, all finished in under an hour, impressive in itself

However, Jonathan Stacey, a Junior Account Director from integrated agency Communiqué 360, completed the course in a speedy 35 minutes, finishing 22nd out of all of the 25,000 runners taking part.

NABS reps can take advantage of our new Running Club, run in conjunction with personal fitness company LGN (www.lgn.cc/).  Click here to find out more.

In 2009 we will be introducing some new challenges for the runners amongst you so watch this space for further details.  Alternatively, please contact Ian Edwards on 020 7462 3150 or via e-mail to i.edwards@nabs.org.uk.
