Little Big Bash

1st November 2007

This year's event was held at the Manchester Evening News and attended by a wide variety of people within the industry.

Ian Tinker, Chairman of NABS North West started the evening's proceedings by introducing the guest speaker Tom Bloxham, Chairman of Urban Splash who spoke about the growth of Manchester and its' regeneration.  He outlined the philosophy of Urban Splash which had served to make it the very successful property brand that it is.

Kate Harris , Head of NABS Regional Development and Managing Director of Harris (Executive Search) followed with a moving plea for support NABS' work supporting individuals within the marketing communications community.

It was then time for the audience to show their support by bidding for the auction prizes generously donated by a number of companies within the industry.  Channel M's presenters Katie Whittaker and Susannah Kelly acted as auctioneers and a total of £5,000 was raised.  The highlight of the auction was no doubt when Ian Tinker bravely donned the skirt modelled by Leanne Battersby in Coronation Street which kicked off a bidding war.

If you weren't there but should have been and feel strongly that you should suppport your industry charity, please contact Kate Harris.
