NABS Rugby 7s
Held this year on April 27th 2008
at Richmond Athletic Ground

This year's Rugby 7s tournament started off as a rather soggy affair but the teams and supporters were not put off by a bit of rain and came out in force to compete for the trophy which has been won for the past two years by the guys from Five TV.
Sadly for them, this year was not a hat trick of victories for Five - beaten in a closely fought quarter final match against Tequila who went on to lift the trophy. We are sure there will be a re-match next year as Five will want their trophy back!
The final was played between eventual winners Tequila and the team from DDB - both squads being cheered on by plenty of support from their respective companies.
No less intensely fought were the finals for the Plate, for the runners up from the group stages, and the Bowl, for the teams coming in 3rd place in their groups. Sky Media and Media Planning Group (MPG) competed for the Plate; Mindshare and Bauer Advertising played for the Bowl, with MPG and Mindshare coming out as winners.
James Clark from the winning Tequila team was named as the Player of the Tournament.
Players and spectators enjoyed drinks from the bar and food from the BBQ while the bouncy castle, games and special guest Sponge Bob Square Pants in the Kids' Area kept the younger supporters happy!
